Post No. 787
My head, my brain, my mind
.
My head says one thing,
But I can’t make up my mind.
My brain tells me, ‘No’,
But my mind cannot decide.
.
There is no unity between the three,
They all seem doomed to disagree.
‘Mind over matter’, or so the saying goes,
So what’s the matter with my mind?
.
‘Out of sight, out of mind’ is another,
So tell me, my brother,
Is it possible for me
To leave my mind behind?
.
I can lose my mind
Or I could lose my head
But if I lost my brain
I surely would be dead.
.
This poem was written in 20I2, but I must have forgotten to publish it, lol.
Oh dear, I see it was published although a search did not find it. Gremlins!

Sometimes we must look at things through the mind’s eye, but, we must keep our heads out of the sky. So that we may train our brain to remain.. Somewhat sane!
Nice thoughtful poem Denise, it’s good to have you back.

Thank you so much! It’s good to be back. Not liking so-called ‘improvements’ at all here at WP though.

Denise,
Very clever as always. I’m not like the WP changes either. You’ve been missed!

I was so fortunate to be given a brand spanking new computer with Windows 8.1 by my daughter and her husband. I missed you all too.

Welcome back, Denise. You are the one who watches the thoughts and feelings arise. These include, alongside many others, “head”, “mind” and”brain. Look beyond that skylike ocean from which thoughts and feelings are born and then dissolve and within also arises this mysterious watcher.
