I write what I feel…

Post No. 921

21 May 2016

As the waves along the shore

Leave lines of debris marking tides

And days follow days as waves follow waves

Nothing stays the same;

Our fingers shed their skin

Until it is too thin, too smooth,

Their prints have gone –

Whirls and swirls in the cosmic dawn.

I am a middle-aged South African woman, living in Johannesburg. I began writing poetry towards the end of May 2010. I love animals – sometimes more than people! I am back after a break. Thanks for still being here, if you are! Missed you! xxx

  1. Sometimes I have a sense of renewal after it rains.

  2. Yes I do too – I think it has to do with the smell(?) of the clean air! Carl, I love the Mothers’ Day cards – made me very tearful. I have been struggling to post. My computer packed up and I’m using (or tryimg) a Raspnerry Pi together with a tablet which is not friendly at all. Thank you for reading and commmenting!
