A Short Step into Nature
.
I pause before the step through Nature’s door
Which threshold invites me not, nor
Does it embrace my breach;
I am a part of nature, not so,
Although my terrain is vastly engineered
Constructed, concocted and contrived
To be utilitarian to say the least ~
Nature kept at long arm’s length
So as not to contaminate the sanitation
Of so-called modern habitation.
Bah, what do ‘they’ know? Naught
Of the truth. Nature holds the cures
For all man’s ills, if man would only
See beyond his limitations,
For the cures lie mainly in his brain.
