I love to watch and see

The expressions in the sky

From the wond’rous beauty of the sunrise,

Hear the morning chorus sing,

To the peace and calm of evening

As the twitters fade and die;

The sun descends from heaven

And takes with him the light

So we can sleep at peace

Throughout the night.

New Beginnings

I looked at the sky this morning.
Clear and cloudless and blue,
And the morning chorus filled the air
With the promise of life anew.

I knew my grieving was over.
My life, as it was, is gone.
And I have taken back my power –
To be true to myself again.
