dancing jubilation
holding you in high regard
showing approbation
idolise, venerate
muddy feet of clay
confusticate your nemesis
a favour to repay
exposed at last
disclosed, unmasked
trapped like a rat
living on the fat
dripping off the roast
and having the most
power in the land
or so we understand…

leaders are needed
to lead from the front
doing their best for all mankind
but money is power
and power is god
calling the shots
and telling what’s what
promoting relations
and friends to the top
crony-ism thrives
there’s (dis)honour among thieves
elections are due
to be held next year
and will changes occur
in the voting majority
or will they follow the leader
like sheep to the slaughter
it remains to be seen
if the mass has matured
and is aware of the position
but really don’t care…

Blocking the view of anything new.

Said to be pure as the driven snow,
Are often disguised from enquiring eyes
And hidden in layers and layers of lies.

Local Elections
Corruption is holding the reins
Demonstrations take place every day
If the situation stays the same
You have only yourself to blame
Emotions are running high
Lack of service is the cry
Empty promises and lies
Jobs by the thousands you’d supply
Loyalty must pay the price
Withholding your vote will not suffice
You need to demonstrate your rage
By using your vote to make a change
