The Beauty Parlour
After a few months of neglect,
I’m ashamed to say I do concur,
My little knotty ball of fur
Dirty and bedraggled,
Had to visit the beauty parlour.
What a metamorphosis awaited me –
I barely recognised my boy –
Tail feathers wagging in joy,
Bright black eyes exposed,
Red tongue tip, and little button nose.

Lovely – the picture, and how you tell it!
I imagine there was a lot less dog to be seen after the visit? 🙂

Hahaha, Oh YES! I think he must have been about a quarter the size! Lovely to see you, Col. 😀

What a cutie he is, Adee – it’s always nice to see them all fresh and sparkly like that. Doesn’t last long, the fresh; the sparkly is always there, I think…

I agree, he does sparkle always – his personality, I think.

Haha – I know exactly what you mean – I always leave my dogs too long and when they do get a cut they are unrecognizable – very cute little poem and Fritz is adorable 🙂

Heehee, same here! But at least it’s a pleasant surprise when we fetch them. I often wonder if they feel better afterwards too.
