House of Cards

We build ourselves a house of cards

Wherein we lock our treasure

For good measure.

But come the wind and rain

(a hurricane),

or when the earth begins to shake

(an earth-quake),

Our house of cards comes tumbling.down

And what have we but rubble for our trouble.
