Army of the Lord

Mine eyes have seen the glory
of the coming of the lord,
He is trampling out the vintage
where the grapes of wrath are stored,
He hath loosed the fateful lightning
of His terrible swift sword,
His truth is marching on
Glory! Glory ! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah
Glory! Glory ! Hallelujah! His truth is marching on
Is our life on earth a proving ground
For the fight between good and evil
We cannot doubt that God will win
Because all else depends on Him:
He is the Creator of the universe.
But is mankind ready, willing and able
To take a stand, seemingly against all odds,
To join His army and defeat the evil
Dwelling and swelling in its task
To take control of mankind’s heart.
