I am a middle-aged South African woman, living in Johannesburg. I began writing poetry towards the end of May 2010. I love animals – sometimes more than people! I am back after a break. Thanks for still being here, if you are! Missed you! xxx

I was going to write about being alone in a crowd… never mind, another time Paul. Thank you and bless you.

The word arrangement validates the idea as it seems like a single doric column

Sometimes it is good to have alone-time, keeping the rest of the world at bay… and sometimes it is good to have them intrude – a little…

Interesting but sad, Denise.
I am tempted to add other words, but cannot. You have really made me think!
Thank you.

I can only handle a crowd a little at a time… before needing to escape. 😀

I didn’t find it sad because alone-ness, right now, is something to covet. Life will probably change….somehow I equate it with privacy.

You’re so right, Kate. Our needs change as we grow and mature, and privacy is very important…

Sometimes I treasure the solitude. Sometimes I despise it.

Normally I treasure it, BV, but there are times that I need to be lifted back into the ‘crowd’.

I’m glad I’m not the only lone one Denise. 🙂 Balance is a constant struggle I think for those who get drained easily by crowds or a lot of socializing. I always get drained, really bummed out.
