I write what I feel…

Winter Landscape

Winter Landscape

The frozen fingers of winter
Reach out and brush the earth
With her icy touch.
She blows her cold breath
And the white winter clouds
Scud across the pale blue sky.

I am a middle-aged South African woman, living in Johannesburg. I began writing poetry towards the end of May 2010. I love animals – sometimes more than people!

    • Thanks, Brian. RSA (see About). Coastal areas = mild winters, esp. Durban. Inland can be bitterly cold with snow. Cape Town has rain and wind in winter (ugh!). This is one of the coldest winters I have experienced in Johannesburg.
